This talk will look into four major challenges faced by modern IoT gateways: 1) edge intelligence to support local processing; 2) ubiquitous access to support heterogeneous wireless networks used by different IoT devices; 3) wireless energy supply to combat battery depletion; and finally 4) portability as enabled by UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). The above four aspects are integrated into a portable and flexible IoT gateway. Some algorithms for joint resource allocation and UAV trajectory design are introduced. The talk concludes with discussions on future opportunities in this exciting research area.

Kun Yseabet betting platformg obtained his PhD from the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering, University College London (UCL), UK.
